Just found this note in my bag. I randomly found it in the cab on my way home last night..someitmes I can't help but laugh at myself..who would take a hand written note (written by a stranger) found in a cab home? Ehmm..me apparantly.
Anyways..I think I must have thought it would be a juicy love letter or something that I could read. Now why would I enjoy that? I don't know. I guess in a way it's like reading a blog..you get some kind of weird peak into someone elses life, you become a piece of a world that's not yours for a second, you don't know why your're interested but you know that want to read. Ok anyways..turns out this note is some kind of poem..or song lyric. (Let me know if you reognize it!)
Maybe it's just someones's random thoughts, som observer in the street wrote what he or she saw down..and then randomly or purposely left it in the cab..
"Old timer with a straw hat serenades a woman half his age nearly talk his height singing songs she could never recognize because its way before her time and the years have scratched his voice like somebodys favorite record.
She puts on her make up in the subway car. He keeps singing. Now more humming to himself. He smiles. She puts down her compact looks over and wonders what he might have been like when his voice sounded like a fresh pressed 45 (4s?).
Peter Charles"
I have no idea what it i..but I wanted to share it..I think its quite a beautiful observation...don't you?

What an amazing thing to find... It's kind of nice to think that people are out there taking notice of things like that still...especially in a place like New York, rather than rushing around between work, getting their tall soy half cap skimmy flat lemon latte cappachino, yelling at taxi drivers and rushing to the next meeting or social event.
Seems odd that whoever wrote it would leave it in a cab. It almost seems like he/she could have written it and left it in a cab to enlighten the next passenger (which in turn has passed it onto her blog and enlightened me).
Amazing
Daaaaahrling
Intentionally left it I mean
